A Mission That Matters:

Free Golf Lessons for women and girls around the world

Our StoRy

Golf Like A Girl was founded in 2025 with a simple but powerful mission: to make golf accessible to every girl and woman, regardless of financial circumstances.
For too long, golf has been perceived as an expensive, exclusive sport. We're changing that narrative. Our founder, Tory, recognized that the cost of equipment, lessons, and course fees created barriers that prevented girls and women from experiencing the life-changing benefits of golf. What started as [describe how you started - small group of volunteers, single location, etc.] has grown into a thriving community of girls and women who are discovering that golf is more than just a sport—it's a pathway to confidence, leadership, and opportunity.

Today, Golf Like A Girl is providing free instruction to half of our participants. Additionally, at all clinics, we provide equipment and access to golf courses. We've proven that when you remove financial barriers, incredible things happen.

Our Mission

To empower girls and women through golf by providing free, accessible programming that builds confidence, leadership skills, and pathways to careers in the golf industry.

Our Vision

A world where golf is accessible to all girls and women, where families can enjoy the game together, and where women are equally represented at every level of the sport—from recreational play to professional careers.

Golf Like A Girl is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt charitable organization. All donations to Golf Like A Girl are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. We are committed to transparency and responsible stewardship of all contributions.

The Life-Changing Impact Of Golf Like A Girl

Mother

Daughter Success Story

A mother brought her daughter to a Golf Like A Girl Mother/Daughter lesson. The daughter had never found a sport she connected with and was hesitant to try something new. What made the difference was that she didn’t have to walk onto the course alone — she had her number one comfort, her mother, by her side. In this supportive environment, she gave golf a chance. That one lesson sparked a love for the game, leading to private lessons with Tory and giving her confidence, joy, and a sport she now calls her own.

Families Willing to Go the Distance

In Michigan and Maryland, mothers and daughters drove more than an hour to attend a free Golf Like A Girl Mother/Daughter lesson. These families carved out time, rearranged schedules, and made the trip because the opportunity was so unique. For many, it was their very first time on a golf course. The experience not only introduced the daughters to the game but also created lasting memories for mothers and daughters who might not otherwise have shared golf together. The willingness to travel so far underscores the need for more sponsored lessons across the country.

Rediscovering Golf as a Mom

One evening, a mom was at the driving range watching her son practice. She hadn’t played golf in over 20 years and was nervous to try again. That same night, Tory had a cancellation in her Free Women’s Lesson and invited the mom to join. Within one session, she was not only striking the ball with power but also excited to play golf with her son. The experience reignited her confidence and strengthened her family connection through golf.

Creating a Safe First Step

Two women attended a Free Golf Like A Girl lesson, both beginners and both intimidated to step onto a golf course. In the women-only setting, they felt supported and encouraged to learn without judgment. By the end of the session, their nerves turned into excitement — they were talking about buying clubs and continuing their golf journey. Without the free and inclusive structure of Golf Like A Girl, they never would have taken that first step.
